Thank you very much to Victoria F. for supporting our project and for sponsoring this food basket for refugees from Kharkiv. It is the second most populous city in Ukraine. Every day, we are helping many refugees from Kharkiv.
This family lived under shelling in the basement of their house for more than two months. Every morning, before reality sunk in, they thought that it was all a dream. When the bombs hit their house, damaging the gas and water pipes, they dared to flee which was also very dangerous.
Kostyantyn and Lyudmila showed us the pictures of their house which is partly destroyed. It will take a lot of time and money to restore it. However, the most important thing for them at the moment is for the war ends as soon as possible. Little Oleksandra finally started to sleep peacefully, without explosions or air raid sirens. She is now preparing for the new school year, although not with her friends…
Je allais à Kharkiv avec ma sœur Galina en août 2021. J’étais impressionnée par la beauté et par le niveau de la vie de cette énorme ville.
Maintenant, à cause de la russie, de putin et des russes qui supportent cette guerre par la grande majorité, nos gens ont quitté leur ville ou vivent quotidiennement avec les alarmes et des bombes lancées sur eux par cette pays, russie, qui n’est pas écore reconnu comme un pays -terroriste.
Nous croyons fort que bientôt cette pays qui tue questionnement les ukrainiens et les gens qui sont venus d’autres pays pour nous aider à libérer notre pays, notre culture et notre langue ukrainienne, soit reconnu comme un pays-terroriste.
